Hi, I’m Anastasiya Kostyuk!

I was born in Belarus in 1984 and spent seven years at art school there before life took me to Sweden. Today I paint in oil from my home in Stockholm: mostly figures and portraits, with still lifes and summer scenes in between.
My training was classical, and I still care about getting the drawing and the light right. What I’m really chasing, though, is the feeling a painting leaves behind, whether that’s Rusalka drifting in green water with a golden fish, a row of smoking men, or cherries and mango ice cream on a hot day in the city.
Seven years of classical training in Belarus.
